Aims & Objectives
Capita’s 7th National Prolific and Other Priority Offenders Conference provides delegates with innovative case studies delivered by key practitioners on how to reduce re-offending through Integrated Offender Management.
This updated event builds on the foundations of PPO and is designed to help you develop a more coordinated approach to managing prolific offenders and breaking the cycle of re-offending.
The tremendous success of PPO programmes has inspired the development of Integrated Offender Management (IOM). Partnerships across England are now taking IOM forward in order to drive down crime locally and nationally. IOM aims to strengthen and deepen strategic partnerships working between the key agencies, including the third sector to tackle the most persistent offenders.
This timely conference showcases successful examples of partnership working between local agencies.
Key issues covered include:
- Reviewing local PPO arrangements within the context of the IOM framework and implementing it into your daily work
- Promoting partnerships and working towards reducing re-offending
- Giving appropriate attention to the victim voice through restorative justice
- Good practice on tackling the challenges of mental health care for prisoners
- Helping ex-offenders into job placements
Attend this conference to hear pioneering examples and learn how to drive down crime and improve offender management in your area.
