Aims and objectives

The Adult Social Care Workforce plays a fundamental role in delivering the vision and outcomes as set out in Putting People First. “Achieving these outcomes relies on the capacity, competency and commitment of the social care workforce, regardless of where they work, to empower and support people who use services…” *

Capita’s Future of the Adult Social Care Workforce conference will look strategically at the shape and nature of the future workforce. Capacity, training and the pivotal role of the service user will be analysed by key speakers from, amongst others, the Department of Health, Skills for Care and Skills for Health. Practical based case studies will complement this strategic overview by providing advice and best practice to successfully drive your adult social care workforce into the future. Key areas to address include:

  • Government policy
  • Workforce planning
  • Partnership working
  • Personal budget holders
  • Recruitment and retention

Take the opportunity to use our extended discussion times to ask our expert speakers your questions about future workforce challenges. Share ideas with other key stakeholders on The Future of the Adult Social Care Workforce to take away practical guidance and advice to implement within your organisation.
