Aims & Objectives

Capita’s National Improving Services for Older People Conference brings together expert speakers and established professionals to provide up-to-date policy and practical insight. With the number of people aged over 65 expected to rise by more than 60% in the next 25 years*, now is the time to consider the needs of today's older people and the future of an ageing population.

Key issues addressed include:

  • Reforming health and social care services
  • Building desirable and safe housing and communities
  • Promoting social inclusion and active ageing
  • Tackling discrimination and promoting human rights

The needs of this changing demographic must be addressed to ensure our ageing population remain independent and enjoy a good quality of life without the fear of discrimination and social exclusion.

This timely conference assembles a cross section of local authorities, housing organisations, health and social care providers and older people’s charities. Take the opportunity to share best practice, hear the latest developments to improving service delivery and network with colleagues who have the same commitment to upholding dignity, respect and independence for our older people.
