Capita's 3rd National
Children Missing Education Conference
Monday 22nd September 2008 – Central London
Aims and objectives
The children missing education agenda takes an important step forward with the roll out of ContactPoint commencing in October. If the duty is to be met and the progress made so far is to continue, it is imperative key stakeholders remain informed of the latest policy and good practice being implemented and developed nationwide.

Capita’s 3rd National Children Missing Education conference will provide all parties involved in CME with an interactive forum in which to share experience and practical advice. Our speakers will highlight ways to overcome the wide range of challenges surrounding identifying, tracking and engaging children missing, or at risk of missing, education. Issues addressed include:

  • Utilising ContactPoint to improve information sharing and adopt a holistic cross-boundary approach to tracking children and young people
  • Effective ways to identify, track and include the children of refugee families into education
  • Working in partnership to fully meet and support the educational needs of Traveller children

Attend this timely event to engage with fellow practitioners sharing your commitment to safeguarding the welfare of children missing education and delivering appropriate educational provision.
